The Brownstown CUSD #201 Board of Education announces that it has named David Lund as the new Superintendent of Brownstown Schools.
The board made the selection at its regular meeting on March 18, 2024.
“Our selection reflects the board’s commitment to the future of our district, ensuring that we are led by someone with vision, integrity, and a proven track record of leadership,” board president Don Bloemker said. “David Lund stood out in a field of very qualified candidates, and we are confident in his ability to usher in an era of innovative educational excellence for our schools.”
Mr. Lund currently serves as the Superintendent for the Selmaville School District in Salem, Illinois. Lund has been in education for 26 years. He started his career as a HS Social Studies teacher in Yuma, AZ, and brings a wealth of administrative experience as an Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Special Programs, as well as District Superintendent.
Mr. Lund received his Bachelors degree from Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin, a Masters degree in Human Relations and Counseling from Northern Arizona University, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from National Louis University, and a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in Chicago.
Mr. Lund is excited about this opportunity. Mr. Lund will assume his duties as Superintendent on July 1, 2024
